Our ProTee VX Launch Monitor

Launch monitors use a variety of technologies, such as cameras or radar, to track a golf ball after being hit to provide data on your shot that can be presented to you in order to help analyze your game, or can be used by software, such as our GSPro simulation software, to simulate what your shot would have done in real life on a driving range or golf course.

Cottage Street Golf upgraded in 2025 to the ProTee VX, one of the most exciting new launch monitors on the market. The ProTee VX is a camera based unit, mounted above and to the front of the hitting area, and uses it’s two infrared cameras to measure all aspects of the ball’s flight; it is extremely accurate and is being compared to the GCQuad, the gold standard of launch monitors.

The ProTee VX incorporates Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities allowing it to track 25 different shot parameters (shown at right) to help you improve your game. Parameters include club path/face angle information and precise club face impact location, and can automatically detect left and right handed players. Best of all, you hit real golf balls, with no special markings, for the most realistic experience possible. The AI capabilities allow it learn over time to become even more accurate.

Most of this technology is behind the scenes and used by the simulation software to accurately simulate your ball flight, but a subset of data parameters is presented to you after each shot in the GSPro simulation software. If you’re interested in diving much deeper into your swing during a practice session, including viewing all data parameters, video of your ball hitting the club face, and the use of high speed swing cameras to capture your swing, you might consider signing up for an Advanced Swing Analysis practice session.
